Twelve collectives from Moldova, Romania to participate in meeting of Romanian national theatres in Chisinau

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ – Twelve theatre collectives from Moldova and Romania will participate in the Romanian National Theatre Meeting, fourth issue, which will take place in Chisinau, 19 – 30 September, during the 97th season of the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu.
The theatres referred are the ones from Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Bucharest, Cluj – Napoca, Craiova, Iasi, Sibiu, Targu – Mures and Timisoara.
The event is organised by the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) of Moldova, Ministry of Culture and National Identity (MCIN) of Romania, Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) and Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) Mihai Eminescu in Chisinau.
At a press conference today, head of host institution, Petru Hadarca, project initiator, has mentioned that the fourth issue of the Romanian National Theatre Meeting is dedicated to the Centenary of the Union and is inaugurated tomorrow at the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu in Chisinau.
According to Petru Hadârcă, the songs that will be presented are written by Romanian authors.
Totally, there will be 19 dramatic performances and a concert as well as 11 radio shows from Chisinau and Bucharest. The programme also contains other artistic delights: conferences, book launches, exhibitions, meetings with actors, etc.
Attending the event, State Secretary for Culture, Andrei Chistol, has said that the National Theatre Meeting is a success of the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu. According to the official, the meeting is a very important event for the culture of Moldova and for the proximity to great European family. In this context, Romanian director, Visarion Alexa, has specified that culture represents the most profound part of the Romanian identity.
The fourth issue of the National Theatre Meeting rounds up on 30 September.
The first issue of the Romanian National Theatre Meeting took place in 2014, and the initiator of the project was Petru Hadarca.
