Chinese diplomatic academy to sign memorandum of cooperation with diplomatic institute, recently created by foreign affairs ministry of Moldova

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ – The profile institutions of China specialising in diplomatic staff have appreciated the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) to create the National Diplomatic Institute (IND) for the first time in Chisinau and are ready to provide sectoral diplomatic expertise accumulated over the years in it. The statement was made in Beijing by the Rector of the University of Foreign Affairs of China and, simultaneously, head of the Diplomatic Academy of China, Qin Yaqing, at a meeting with Moldovan Foreign Minister, Tudor Ulianovschi. paying a working visit to China on 17 – 21 September, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
President Qin Yaqing said that the University of Foreign Affairs he has led was created in 1955, and the Diplomatic Academy of China was established in 2013, and today provides instruction and professional training for diplomats, civil servants from central public authorities, and local, as well as future diplomats, to be employed in the Chinese diplomatic service.
Minister Ulianovschi said that "increasing the capacities of civil servants, especially diplomats, is the basis for a solid promotion of the foreign policy of a state, an indispensable element for Moldova, which in 27 years of independence can offer to the country diplomats specialised in different domains, professional negotiators with the possession of foreign languages at a high level, so that the national interests achieved bring added value to the development and modernisation of the country."
The head of Moldovan diplomacy said that Moldova is interested in establishing partnerships in the field of professional training of diplomatic staff with the most prestigious world institutions. On it, the President of the Beijing Diplomatic Academy accepted the proposal of Minister Ulianovschi to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the near future with the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration during the visit of representatives of the Diplomatic Academy of China to Chisinau.
