Moldovan president signs decrees on dismissal of two ministers

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan President Igor Dodon today said he has signed decrees on dismissal of Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Liviu Volconovici and Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Svetlana Cebotari.
Dodon notes that since his investiture in office, within one year and nine months, he has signed the resignation requests of 17 ministers from the current government.
Yesterday, PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc said that two ministers from the current cabinet, of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and of Health, Labor and Social Protection will be changed.
"The people who are going to be changed from these positions have worked hard, they have done their duty, but citizens want faster results and more effective communication. In addition, in the areas undergoing reshuffles, large projects are to be launched and a more courageous approach is needed," he said.
He noted he proposed Nicolae Ciubuc and Silvia Radu for the two positions. Thus, Radu will lead the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and Nicholae Ciubuc - the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
Ministers Svetlana Cebotari and Liviu Volconovici were sworn in on 10 January 2018.
