Chisinau-based library organises open doors day

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ – The Municipal Library B. P. Hasdeu has organised today the event of Open Doors Day, which took place simultaneously in 27 branches of the institution.

The programme included the presentation of library services, interactive activities, personal meetings, book launches, film screenings and educational games, etc.

Interviewed by agency, General Director of the Municipal Library B.P. Hasdeu, Mariana Harjevschi, said that throughout these activities the institution aims to attract as many new users as possible.

The event is part of Campaign: My Library! supported by the Novateca Programme (PN) together with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) and aims to emphasise the changes and innovations of Moldovan public libraries in recent years and promote the new Law on Libraries, sustainable and modern development of public libraries so that they are closer to the members of society.
