Model regulations on organizing gambling activity to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- Decision approving the Model Regulations on the organization and conduct of gambling activity which is state monopoly will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 21 September.
The decision includes the model regulations on conducting lotteries, regulation for organising the operation of slot machines with cash prizes, on organizing and conducting bets for sports competitions and on organizing gambling through electronic communication networks.
The first document provides in particular that the winning fund for all types of lotteries will be at least 50% of the total tickets sold.
The second document due to be published in the Official Journal stipulates that the average percentage of the winning money in the game program must not be less than 70% of the stakes.
The regulation on organization and conduct of bets for sports competitions stipulates that it is forbidden to participate in bets for their organizers, people who can hold information about the results of the event and those who have the possibility to influence the outcome of the event.
The fourth document sets out the requirements for organizing gambling through electronic communications networks.
The government decision shall enter into force upon its publication in the Official Journal.
