Moldovan, Belgian officials approach cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca yesterday had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Belgium Didier Reynders, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The two officials discussed the current stage of bilateral relations and developments of political dialogue between Moldova and European Union. Leanca pointed out the importance of supporting the EU and the member states of the EU in the reform process. In this context, the Moldovan deputy premier called for continuous support and expertise provided by the Belgian authorities in the implementation of the Association Agreement and the provisions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with the European Union (DCFTA).
Also, the talks focused on regional security issues, as well as developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement. The sides exchanged views on the topical issues on the international agenda and problems faced by the Eastern Partnership countries.
