Virgin Mary was born in a family of righteous people Joachim and Anna. Her parents, although were old, forcibly prayed to have a child.
Certain work is not allowed to do on this holy day. They say that the prayers made to the Mother of God on this holy day by those who want to have a child are listened most than ever.
In the people’s beliefs, the holiday of Birth of the Mother of God represents the border between summer and autumn – a moment when the autumn agricultural works start and the time when the new season actually begins. The day of 21 September is the day when some birds, such as the swallows, start their flight to the warm countries and insects and reptiles hide in the soil.
The Birth of the Mother of God, Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God in the Church, The Feast of the Annunciation and the Assumption of the Virgin are those four Christian holidays dedicated to the Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God.
