Moldovan PM discusses with 18 – year – old lady willing to start business in central – eastern city

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has discussed today with a young 18 – year – old lady in Causeni city, who wants to start a business in Causeni. She applied to the advance programme for an amount of MDL 650,000, the total value of the investment being MDL 1 million, the young entrepreneur wants to open a bakery where she will produce Italian sweets with this money. The Prime Minister said the state supports the launch of the business and wished the young lady success: "It is not easy to make business. It is not easy. That means courage, initiative, success", the government's communication and protocol department has reported.   

In talks with businessmen from Causeni district, Pavel Filip mentioned on the Government's intention to continue with actions to pro – business. "We want to be a business partner and friend, because that is the only way you can develop your country throughout public and social investments. Without a strong economy no one can build roads, increase pensions and wages," said PM.

At their turn, the entrepreneurs talked about the challenges they have faced, among which being: the need to introduce a single tax in agriculture, illicit transportation of passengers, lack of anti-hail systems, and failure of the wastewater treatment plants, due to inefficient management by Agency Apele Moldovei. The Head of the Executive gave assurances that the reported problems would be examined by the Government.

The PM reviewed the actions taken by the Government to stimulate the business environment, including: reducing the number of control bodies, simplifying reporting procedures, modernising the Labour Code, reducing the number of permissive acts, but also the recently approved tax reform that would reduce the underground economy, wage bill phenomenon, or tax evasion.

In the second quarter of 2018, GDP grew by 5.2 per cent, budget revenues increased by 15 per cent in the first half of 2018, and exports increased by 30 per cent up to $1.5 billion. For 2018, the state has allocated MDL 45 million, subsidies provided in advance to young persons and women which start agro business.
