Cable factory in central – eastern city of Moldova to increase number of employees from 400 to 1000

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip has visited today Coroplast Harness Technology in Free Economic Zone (ZEL) Balti, Causeni city, specialised in the production of car wiring. At present, there work 410 employees at the factory. The number will increase up to 1,000 persons once the new production hall is put into operation. As such, it will be invested around $20 million, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"We had talks with Coroplast representatives in 2016 and at the end of the year they decided to expand their businesses in Moldova. After that, in 2017 they rented this production hall. It is one thing that speaks for itself – efforts of the Government to become more attractive for investment – results", said PM.
The Prime Minister visited the industrial hall of the factory and talked to employees about working conditions and pay levels. The workers were pleased with the salary and the opportunity to work here at home.
The sales volume of the company is €15.6 million per year, and production is 100 per cent export – oriented.
