Pumpkin festival starts in Criuleni

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- The 7th edition of the Bostaniada Ethno-Gastronomic Festival is taking place today on the shores of the lake near Bălăbăneşti, Criuleni. The main attractions of the festival are the exhibitions of pumpkins and the contest "The Biggest Pumpkin".
The foreign tourists who will be present at the event will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the traditional gastronomy and drinks, the new wine and the Moldovan folklore, and Moldovans will remember the taste of childhood thanks to pumpkin pies, homemade juice and wine.
Throughout the day, visitors will have a live concert.
The event is organized under the aegis of the "Discover the routes of life" project. The strategic partners of the festival are the Swedish Embassy in Moldova and the USAID Moldova Competitiveness Project implemented by Chemonics International. The general partner of the event is the Criuleni district council.
