Awards Gala Dialogue 2018 nominated laureates in Chisinau

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/- The Awards Gala Dialogue 2018 was held yesterday evening at the Mihai Eminescu National Theater. The event took place during the 4th issue of the Romanian National Theater Meeting, which takes place on 19-30 September in Chisinau.
The awards were given for the first time in Chisinau by the Cultural Association Dialogue, whose founding head is Romanian director Alexa Visarion.
Alexa Visarion said that the Cultural Association "Dialog" was initiated in 1991 with the title "Romanian-American Theater", the first bilingual, Romanian-English theater in Eastern Europe. In 2002, it became the Dialog Cultural Association, expanding its area of activity from the Romanian-American relations to the European Union, China, Israel, Russia and Australia.
The Association annually offers Dialogue excellence prizes for creativity, interpretation and artistic vision, as well as for management in all creative fields. The awards are given at the proposal of the founding president after a vote, which must be unanimous, and the people within the Association involved in the decision to award the diplomas of excellence are from Romania, Canada, USA, Greece and Australia. Thus, the Association aims at knowing, communicating and cooperating in various fields of activity, known and appreciated artistic and managerial performance.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc was awarded the Diploma of Excellence "Titu Maiorescu" for the amplitude of the concept and vision of the Romanian spiritual integration. The "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater Director, Petru Hadârcă was awarded the "Liviu Ciulei" Diploma of Excellence. Director of the Institute of Emergency Medicine Mihai Ciocanu was given the Diploma of Excellence "Nicolae Testemiteanu".
The Gala of Prizes was followed by the play "The War Theater" directed by Cristian Hadji-Culea. The show was presented by Vasile Alecsandri National Theater in Iasi.
