Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon explained his refusal to promote the ministers proposed by the premier after the Constitutional Court (CCM) today suspended him from office.
Dodon wrote on a social network "by its ruling, the Constitutional Court has committed an illegality and completely neglected the legal arguments it has operated with."
Referring to Silvia Radu, the head of state noted "it would be strange for a minister in charge of the field not to meet minimum requirements for employees, such as: at least 5 years experience in public office, managerial experience of at least 2 years ".
Referring to Nicolae Ciubuc, Dodon said “it has been found that he does not meet integrity criteria”.
The Constitutional Court today presented a notice stating that the speaker or premier can issue decree appointing new cabinet members and can take their oath, after the repeated refusal by Dodon to promote two ministers proposed by premier. This is the fourth time when the court ruled to suspend the president’s post after he has repeatedly refused to sign the decrees appointing the ministers proposed by the premier.
The two positions will be held by Silvia Radu, who will take over the leadership of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, and Nicolae Ciubuc will lead the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
