Another 12 ambulances distributed to more districts of Moldova

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The last series of 12 ambulances, out of a consignment of 69 ambulances purchased in early 2018, today were distributed to sub-stations and emergency medical assistance posts from ten districts of Moldova.
According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), the ambulances were distributed to the following settlements: Edinet, Donduseni (Sudarca), Briceni, Rezina, Rezina (Pripiceni), Soldanesti (Cotiujenii Mari), Orhei (Malaiesti), Orhei (Branesti), Ialoveni, Nisporeni (Grozesti), Cosnita (Cocieri) and Causeni.
The ambulances meet all international standards in the sector and the medical equipment allows providing emergency medical assistance at the highest level.
„The emergency medical assistance implies quick interventions in situations when people’s lives are in danger. Therefore, once the emergency medical assistance units are endowed with modern ambulances, we will enhance their capacity to provide quality medical assistance,” the state secretary at MSPMS, Rodica Scutelnic, said.
„The renewal of the motor vehicle fleet of the subdivisions of the National Centre of Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Assistance will contribute to ensuring better conditions for providing medical services and increased quickness in serving people appealing for help, especially in the rural sector,” the head of the Rezina substation, Svetlana Sapaniuc, said.
In 2019, another 170 ambulances are to be bought, of which 35 vehicles of the C type (intensive therapy ambulances) and 133 B-type cars (first aid ambulances). The vehicles will be purchased following the signing of an agreement on loan between Moldova’s government and the Council of Europe Development Bank.
