Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - The period of implementation of an agreement on financing with EU between the Moldovan government and the European Union might be extended from 87 to 102 months and the duration of its operational implementation could be extended from 63 to 78 months. A provision to this effect is contained in a government decision on starting talks and approving the signing of the Addendum No 3 to the agreement on financing between the government of Moldova and the European Union, approved today.
The accord refers to the framework programme on support of current and future agreements between the European Union and Moldova, signed in Brussels on 14 June 2013.
Moldova asks for the extension of the period of implementation, as a result of a delay in the enforcement of the project, Controlling Corruption through Law Enforcement and Prevention, from the component II of the aforementioned agreement “and needs prolongation of the term of its implementation by 15 months.”
