Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - At least five per cent of the national fund for the development of agriculture and rural environment will be annually allocated for financing startup projects, according to amendments today made by the government to a decision on the distribution of the fund’s means.
The conditions and procedure of providing subsidies in advance for startup projects will be carried out in line with the provisions of the government’s decision on the approval of the regulation on conditions and procedure of providing subsidies in advance for startup projects from the national fund for development of agricultural and rural environment.
The project also sees that “the applicant for the subsidy, who has benefited from subsidies cumulatively on measures/sub-measures of support worth 9 million lei in the last three years, cannot benefit from financial support for the next year of subsidization.” The farmer has right to ask for financial support only after one year of subsidization.
The document also provides for setting a maximum quantum of subsidization for all farmers of 400,000 lei. Presently, vine growers can benefit from maximal support of 400,000 lei, while other producers – 300,000 lei.
The amendments made by the cabinet refer also to ecological products, subsidization of small producers, online procedure of submitting documents and other aspects of the subsidization process.
