Moldovan leu depreciates against main reference currencies

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ – The European single currency and the US dollar will be priced with MDL 0,01 at a time, according to official exchange rates published today by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).
Thus, the euro will cost 19 lei and 80 bani, and the dollar – 16 lei and 83 bani. More expensive with one ban will be the Romanian leu. It will appreciate up to 4 lei and 25 bani.
The Ukrainian hryvnia will remain at the quote of 59 bani, and the Russian rouble will still cost 25 bani.
According to BNM's data, in August the Moldovan leu appreciated in average values by 0.5 per cent against USD, up to MDL 16,60 compared to MDL 16,69 in July.
