Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - A concert-conference titled, „Enescu pe înțelesul tuturor” (Enescu Understood by Everybody) will organized in Chisinau on 25 September. The event will take place at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy and will be accompanied by the staging of an exhibition with the same name, made by the George Enescu National Museum from Bucharest.

According to the organizers, the concert and conference, Enescu Understood by Everybody, was outlined following an analysis of those seven productions of the Oedipe opera, made in the United States, Italy and Romania by baritone Stefan Ignat. Out of desire to get close to the public the myth of Oedipe and the music of Enescu’s masterpiece, baritone Stefan Ignat proposed a novel formula of presentation, at the border between concert and conference, which has on the forefront the signing of the Oedipe opera. The ballads, doinas (Romanian spiritual songs), popular dances and laments – folklore and musical forms specific to the Romanian cultural space – will be exemplified in the context of the carrying out of the melodic and dramaturgic line of the opera Oedipe.

Stefan Ignat and Lacrimioara Cristescu (soprano), accompanied by Ioana Maria Lupascu (piano), will exemplify all these musical pieces. Also, the laments which George Enescu collected and inserted in the score, will be exemplified by song too.

The exhibition dedicated to George Enescu is made up of 12 panels and contains pictures, photos and texts about the life and works by the great Romanian composer.

The project was presented in Romania, Hungary, the United States and other countries.
