Agreement between Moldova, Israel on temporary employment of workers extended by five years

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ – The agreement between the Governments of Moldova Israel on the temporary employment of workers was extended by five years.
The treaty's expiration date is due to expire on 05 January 2019. Under these circumstances, the Cabinet of Ministers approved at its meeting today the extension of the treaty's term to 05 January 2024.
According to the document, Israel will contribute, in particular, to ensuring a legally and fairly engaging process for Moldovan citizens who are conducting a construction work activity on the territory of Israel.
The Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection said in a press release that the implementation of such Agreements is achieving circular migration, which is a priority of the state labour migration policy.
Up to now, there have been organised 12 stages of recruitment and employment of Moldovan citizens in Israel, with more than 6 thousand Moldovan workers being offered work, on the basis of an individual labour contract, in over 20 Israeli companies.
