Referendum on revision of Romanian Constitution to be held in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/- The Romanian Embassy in Moldova today announced that a referendum to revise the Romanian Constitution will be held in Moldova on 6-7 October.

According to the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, the question to the voters at the referendum will be "Do you agree with the law revising the Constitution of Romania as adopted by parliament?" Question that voters should answer "YES" or "NO".

The list and addresses of the polling stations in Moldova will be published later this week. The referendum on the revision of the Constitution of Romania will take place from 7:00-21:00 hours.

The embassy recommends the Romanian citizens staying in Moldova on the dates of the referendum to ensure that they have valid identity documents, condition for exercising the right to vote.

At the same time, the Romanian Embassy recommends Romanian citizens in Moldova who have lost their documents or have expired to request their exchange in advance.

The Romanian Senate approved the initiative to revise the Constitution to redefine the concept of marriage. The revision means that the family is based on marriage between a man and a woman, not the one agreed between spouses.
