Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) will launch a project on the connection of more than 100,000 people to water supply, twice as many persons as this year. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc today made statements to this effect following a weekly meeting of the party.
At a news briefing, the Democrats’ leader said that, starting 2019, the governance was set to annually connect more than 100,000 persons to aqueduct.
„We are happy that the projects initiated by PDM are appreciated. Citizens are aware that other governances just were making promises, but the present government carries out concrete actions. About 54,000 citizens were connected to water supply in 2009-2016, which means 7,500 persons annually. At the same time, in the last two years alone, the present governance has managed to connect 106,000 people to water supply, which means 53,000 beneficiaries per year, seven-fold more than during the previous governances,” Plahotniuc said.
„I asked the cabinet colleagues to actively get involved in the fulfillment of the initiative on citizens’ water supply. It is possible for us to achieve concrete results, if we can manage state’s resources. New projects come next and PDM will adapt the formation’s agenda to people’s needs, which actually represents the concept of the party – Pro Moldova,” Vlad Plahotniuc added.
