Moldovan diplomacy head has more bilateral meetings in New York

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi will participate in the meeting on the inauguration of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, due to start today at 16:00 (Moldova’s hour) with a speech by the president of Brazil, - the country which chaired the first UN meeting, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
At the meetings and forums preceding the General Assembly, the Moldovan diplomacy head had a string of bilateral meetings and discussions with the leaders or counterparts from more states. At a meeting with President of Argentina Mauricio Macri, Ulianovschi discussed aspects on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The sides noted that this collaboration can be more efficient, if an embassy of Moldova is opened in Buenos Aires. In the context, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi informed the Argentina president about the Moldovan authorities’ decision to open an embassy in Argentina, which will also ensure cooperation with other states of the Latin America.
Ulianovschi tackled aspects of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation, within international organizations, in discussions with the foreign affairs ministers of Iceland Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson, Liechtenstein Aurelia Frick, Morocco Nasser Bourita and other officials.
The Moldovan diplomacy head and United States Ambassador to the United Nations, head of the cabinet of President Donald Trump, Nikki Haley discussed the cooperation with the USA, including within the United Nations. The American official reiterated the support for Moldova in the process of reforms’ implementation.
The foreign minister’s working agenda also includes a string of bilateral meetings with colleagues from other states, as well as participation in ministerial summits, organized on the sidelines of the General Assembly. Also, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, as member of Moldova’s official delegation led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, will take part in PM’s meetings with heads of states.
