Unites States backs Moldovan authorities' efforts to develop country

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - The United States keeps a close eye on the developments in Moldova and backs the Moldovan authorities’ efforts aimed at reforming and modernizing the country. U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has made statements to this effect at a meeting with Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
The American vice president reiterated the White House Administration’s support for Moldovan government’s efforts to implement domestic reforms, as well as those aimed at achieving the goals assumed within different international organizations.
Referring to the bilateral relations, Mike Pence and Tudor Ulianovschi reconfirmed the need to develop the Moldova – United State Strategic Dialogue. This will allow a better interaction in turning to good account the support provided by the USA for the democratic processes from the country, in accordance with the provisions of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, which remains the government’s priority.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi praised the support by the United States, noting that, due this backing, more national projects had been carried out, which had an important economic and social impact in the Moldovan society.
