Carriers from Moldova to be able to stay in Ukraine over 90 days

Chisinau, 05 October /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan carriers will be able to stay for more than 90 days in Ukraine. The announcement was made today by Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, during a joint press conference held jointly with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Groysman, which is paying an official visit to Chisinau.
In this respect, it was signed today the Protocol to the Agreement between the Governments of Moldova and Ukraine from 20 March 1993, on the international automotive communication. At present, drivers delivering international transport services can not accumulate over 90 days in Ukraine for a period of 180 days.
Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, said that during the bilateral meeting there were discussed all the subjects included in the Moldova – Ukraine roadmap. "The relations between our countries are excellent. We have been able to make progress on the political, economic and humanitarian levels. Today we have found that there are few issues that need to be resolved. So far, we have succeeded in establishing common control points, and it has been signed a document today that solves the issue of drivers carrying out international freight and passenger transport being in Ukraine over 90 days. Another topic discussed was the ecological one and especially the state of the Dniester river. In this regard, we have determined that we will make every effort to improve the situation. Similarly, we appreciate the special role of Ukraine as a negotiator in format 5+2 and we thank for supporting the UN resolution on the withdrawal of foreign troops from the territory of the Republic of Moldova. I reiterate that our country supports the restoration of the integrity of Ukraine and wishes to the Ukrainian people peace and prosperity," said Pavel Filip.
At his turn, Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman, specified that the today meeting was a productive one. "We discussed issues that concern the economic, political and infrastructure spheres. We have a common agenda, and today we have established that most of this has been done successfully. There are still questions about the ecological situation, but we can solve the subject throughout joint efforts. Also, there is a positive economic and commercial dynamics. Thus, the indices show an increase in trade of 40 per cent, which stimulates us to further deepen our economic relations. Another topic discussed was security in the area. Thus, we have established that we have the same approach of respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our countries as well as maintaining peace on the European continent," said Volodymyr Groysman.
Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman, is on an official visit to Chisinau, where he is attending the meeting of the Heads of Government of the Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), which includes Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.
