Chisinau, 06 October /MOLDPRES/ – Moldova and Romania intend to create a common digital map, throughout which foreign citizens will be able to find out more about the tourist destinations in Moldova and Romania. The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, announced this during an exclusive interview for agency.
Also, Moldova will be included in several tourist routes of Romania. According to Gaburici, the decisions were taken recently at a meeting with the Tourism Minister in Bucharest.
Regarding the economic relations Moldova and Romania, Gaburici specified that in recent years there is an increase in investments made by Romania in Moldova. At the same time, according to the minister, a large share of Moldovan goods exported to EU is in neighbouring Romania.
"It is easier for us to get to Romania, communicate easier and get closer. Many of Moldovan economic agents exporting to EU started with Romania," said Gaburici.
The trade exchanges between Moldova and Romania amounted to $732 million in the first half of 2018. Thus, the neighbouring state strengthened its leading position in the ranking of the trading partners of Moldova.
