Winners of contest Golden barrel 2018 awarded at National Wine Day in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 07 October /MOLDPRES/ – The winners of contest Golden barrel 2018 were awarded at the National Wine Day (ZNV), which continued on 07 October in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN).

At its 16th issue of contest Golden barrel for Best House Wine Competition, over 400 homemade wines competed and 105 came to the national stage, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). The homemade wines presented by farmers in the contest were appreciated by professional tasters.

The President of the CCI, Sergiu Harea, said that, as a result of it, more and more wine – makers participate in this contest, and Golden barrel has gained an increasing popularity.

The grand prize of the contest is Golden barrel, which is a barrel of 100 litres, and 07 persons have got it in 2018, nominated winners of the contest.

Thus, from the technical varieties, the best white wine was produced by Tatiana Agaci from Buteni, Hancesti, and for the best red wine was awarded Serghei Sari from Comrat.

At nomination: Young wine from hybrid varieties, the award for the best white wine came to Vasile Nogai from Cajba, Glodeni, and the prize for the best red wine was won by Nicolai Panco from Pelivan, Orhei.

The winner of nomination: Wine roses became Igor Dontu from Causeni. Iordan Sarandi from Etulia, Vulcanesti, was awarded for best white desert wine. Also, the best red dessert wine was produced by Ion Nicolenco from Causeni.

During the 16th issue of contest, there have been presented about 8,000 wine samples, out of which over 160 became victorious.
