Experts team from EU's Support for Policies Development project starts working

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/ - A team of experts from the European Union’s Support for Policies Development technical assistance project started working today. The project has a budget of 1.8 million euros and its major beneficiaries are the State Chancellery, Finance Ministry and Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The project’s general goal is to carry out a successful process of reform of the horizontal public administration, in order to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and responsibility of the central public administration and local public administration, as well as strengthen the administrative capacity of the public administration from Moldova.
The project will provide support, in order to consolidate the capacities in the implementation of the Association Agreement, through the light of the process of assessing the framework of elaboration and implementation of public policies, in accordance with the citizens’ expectations and needs.
The project is part of the agreement on financing between the Moldovan government and the European Union on the programme of support for the public administration reform, which provides for offering technical assistance worth 15 million euros.
