Moldovan, Romanian officials discuss cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/- On the occasion of a working visit to Bucharest, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic had a meeting with Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy of Romania Bogdan Aurescu on 8 October, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

The officials broached a lot of issues on the bilateral agenda, pointing out the possible ways of development of Moldovan-Romanian cooperation on various technical dimensions and revealing full openness to maintain an efficient cooperation aimed at promoting priorities of common interest, including Moldova’s European integration.

The dialogue continued on the Transnistrian issue, reviewing the main developments on the most current topics on the agenda of the negotiations, the efforts made by the Moldovan side to boost the process and the positive initiatives in the interest of the inhabitants on both banks of the Dniester, highlighting the interest of the Romanian side to contribute to backing the regulatory process by implementing projects aimed at approaching banks and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

The officials voiced confidence in a fruitful future collaboration and pointed to the need to strengthen the interaction for the successful implementation of the structural reforms undertaken by Moldova and Romania.
