Chisinau, 10 October /MOLDPRES/- Director of the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) Elena Palanciuc resigned today.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Cristina Stratulat, confirmed the information.
"The request for resignation was signed by Minister Silvia Radu. In the document, Elena Palanciuc, did not indicate the reason for leaving," Stratulat said.
Two weeks ago, ANSP employees announced they had not received their wages for two months. The reason was the lack of accountants at the institution. As a result, the employees addressed a request to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Silvia Radu. Shortly afterwards, accountants from other ministry structures were posted, and in a few days the ANSP employees received outstanding salaries.
Elena Palanciuc was appointed as head of National Agency for Public Health in February 2018. Previously, she served as the director of Orhei district hospital.
