Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- The sectoral plan for anticorruption actions in the health and compulsory health insurance for 2018-2020 will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 12 October.

The document proposes new solutions to prevent and combat corruption in the health sector. It aims to discourage the involvement of medical staff in corruption acts and the development of transparent medical institutions.

In this regard, dialogue with citizens will be boosted to encourage them to report acts of corruption in the health system. At the same time, an electronic claims system (E-claim) will operate on the medical institutions' websites for better monitoring the quality of service.

Other actions included in the plan are related to improve access to information and transparency in the decision-making process within health institutions, to constantly monitor the integrity of institutions in the health system and to exclude the possibilities of corruption by promoting the integrity climate among employees and meritocracy.
