National Army soldiers participate in blood donation campaign

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 200 National Army soldiers from all the country's garrisons and the students of the Military Academy Alexandru cel Bun donate blood during the campaign, A way to life, on 11-12 October. The action is organized by the Ministry of Defense jointly with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Blood Transfusion Center.

According to the Ministry of Defense data, the blood collection centers were arranged in the units of the garrisons Chisinau, Cahul and Balti.

Defense Minister Eugen Sturza and Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Silvia Radu together with subordinates were among the first who donated blood at the Military Camp 142.

The head of defense said that the National Army's troops regularly participate in blood donation campaigns to provide hope and a chance for life to citizens with health problems.

This campaign is part of the action plan of the national programme on transfusion safety and self-insurance in the country with blood products for 2017-2021".
