Moldovan servicemen with only high school education to be able to keep offices held in National Army

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ – The servicemen with secondary education studies will no longer be released from military service if they have not continued their studies until the expiry of the three-year contract. The Parliament has approved today a first draft law amending some legislative acts.
According to the new regulations, the military structures will no longer be able to release persons which hold only secondary education after the expiry of the term of the first military service contract. Currently, according to the provisions of the legislation, the military service of persons from the staff of soldiers with secondary education, the contract is concluded for a period of three years, provided that, during this period, the person obtains high school or technical vocational education. Otherwise, upon contract expiration, the soldiers are released by giving them three monthly balances.
Also, the document provides for new military grades for soldiers and sergeants, which will be correlated with military functions they will occupy, studies and professional training, length of service and military rank held previously.
