Central road in village from south Moldova Gagauz autonomy capitally repaired

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ – There were allocated over MDL 6 million in 2018 for the capital repair of the central street in village Cioc – Maidan, Comrat municipality. The works were carried out with the assistance of the European Union, provided by programme: The support to agriculture and rural development in ATU Gagauzia and Taraclia district (SARD), financing from the autonomy and local budget, the Programme of Capital Investment (PIC) and Road fund (FR).
There has been changed the asphalt layer and sidewalks have been built with sidewalks and access ways to the houses of thre locals up till now. The project also provides for such works on the opposite side of the route, but these will be fulfilled in 2019, with the transfer of the other tranche of financing, according to gagauzinfo.md. Totally, it will be completely reconstructed and arranged a section of 875 metres of the central street of Cioc – Maidan.
According to UTA Gagauz – Yeri Governor, Irina Vlah, the regional authorities "will advocate for reducing the volume of repair of local roads" in white, "identifying means for as many capital works as possible."
SARD has a total budget of €6.5 million and intends to intensify cooperation between central and local authorities as well as regional organizations in UTA Gagauz – Yeri and Taraclia district.
