MDL maintains level against main reference currencies

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ – At the beginning of next week, the Moldovan leu (MDL) will maintain its position in relation to the main reference currencies.

Thus, the single European currency (EUR) will keep its price of MDL 19,68. The US dollar (USD) will be cheaper with MDL 0,01 up to MDL 16,99.

The Romanian leu (RON) will get dearer with MDL 0,01. Its official price will be MDL 04,22. According to data from the National Bank of Moldova, the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) will have, as at today, a price of MDL 0,60, and the Russian rouble (RUB) will remain at the level of MDL 0,25 at the beginning of upcoming week.

The official exchange rate is the price of MDL against the currencies of other countries. It is calculated based on the exchange rates established by the licenced banks in the buying/selling transactions of currencies with their customers and other banks.
