Moldovan PM assures that yearly length of kilometers of renovated roads to increase

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ – The inhabitants of commune Greblesti in Straseni district will enjoy a more modern infrastructure. There a rehabilitated road was put into operation today under Programme: The good roads for Moldova, which was attended by Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, who shared with the locals the positive emotions, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The renovated road of 575 metres is a regional one and will allow the inhabitants to travel more comfortably to the neighbouring villages Romanesti and Recea. The rehabilitation works cost almost MDL 1.7 million.  

The PM has said that the development of the infrastructure in Moldova will continue: "It will be a project which is going to take shape throughout Moldova. First of all, we will focus on the roads in the localities, but also on the ones that constitute the national infrastructure. I want to assure you that yearly the mileage of these roads will increase."

In 2018, it was renovated a local road with a length of 560 metres in Greblesti commune. For the asphalting of the section, it was needed over MDL 2 million, out of which MDL 1.2 million was the contribution of the district council, and about MDL 800 thousand were allocated by the mayor's office commune.

The National Programme: The good roads for Moldova provides for the rehabilitation of 1,200 km of local roads in 1,200 localities. The total amount of investments will go up to MDL 1.6 billion. Also, there started the process of collecting proposals on the road sections to be included within project: The good roads  for Moldova 2 wgich is to be started in 2019.
