Teachers from north Moldova district ask for parliament speaker's support to modernise education process

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ – The modernisation projects and improvement of quality of the pre – university education have been discussed at the meeting of Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu, with the Floreşti district teachers. The discussions with teachers and pupils took place at the Theoretical High School Miron Costin, the largest district educational institution, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

SP has announced that a new law on salaries for teachers is currently being finalised and soon will be presented for public consultations. The new law will ensure salary increases for teachers in late 2018 or early 2019.

The teachers put several questions to SP, asking for involvement in resolving existing issues and coming up with a number of proposals.

About the projects that offer better conditions for practicing sports in Moldova, SP discussed with the athletes and coaches from the Sports School for children and juniors in Floresti. SP has referred to the construction of the multifunctional complex Chisinau Arena, launched on 14 October, and which will become the first multipurpose hall in Moldova according to the criteria of the international federations for in – door sports.

At present, a new sports school is being built in Floresti, which will provide better conditions for training, which will enhance the performances of athletes. The institution will be able to host national and international competitions. There were allocated MDL 5.7 million from the state budget for the project realisation. The school will become operational in May 2019.

According to director of the Floresti sports school, Raisa Bogdan, although the institution has only two small halls for training, the young people who train here have won numerous awards at national and international competitions. Over 500 athletes are currently training at the Floresti sports school for artistic gymnastics, Greek – Roman wrestling, judo, football, volleyball, weightlifting and chess.

SP Andrian Candu is currently paying a working visit to Floresti district.
