Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - The arrangement works have been completed in the park from the Milesti village, central Nisporeni district. A special commission has recently assessed the project, noting that it was carried out according to norms.
The works of arranging the park from Milesti are part of a comprehensive programme on improving the infrastructure in Moldova’s Central Region. The programme is implemented by the Centru Regional Development Agency with means of the National Regional Development Fund, which provided about 1.6 million lei.
Alleys with an overall area of 3,000 square metres were paved, benches and dustbins were changed in the Milesti park.
According to the mayor of the Milesti village, Radu Varlan, “the Milesti park has 150 years and is an important tourist attraction, being the pride of the settlement.” “During years, no investment has been made in this park, it was close to destruction; therefore, the concerned project was quite welcome,” the mayor said.
The Milesti park was founded by landlord Constantin Cazimir and rare species of trees are planted here. The park is part of the landscape reserve Cazimir-Milesti and represents a monument of landscape architecture, being protected by the state.
