Over 330 people went to doctor with infectious diseases

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 330 people in the capital went to public medical institutions with infectious diseases and intoxications last week.

According to the Public Health Center, about 200 people have addressed to the doctor with diarrhea, by 50 cases less than the previous week. In all, 123 patients were hospitalized with diarrhea, which is 62 per cent.

Ion Bîrcă, head of department at the National Agency for Public Health, said there are several factors contributing to the spread of acute diarrheal diseases. It is about hand hygiene, purchasing food from authorized places, not from the street or other unauthorized places, the food does not have an expired term, etc.

At the same time, according to data of the Center for Public Health in the capital, last week over 2,000 people addressed to the doctor with viruses, by 44.5% less than in the previous period. Cases of flu have not been recorded.
