President of NATO PA to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/- President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Rasa Jukneviciene will pay a visit to Moldova on 17-19 October, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
According to the agenda of the visit, the senior NATO official will meet the leadership of the country: Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
At the same time, Rasa Jukneviciene will also discuss with the head of parliamentary delegation to NATO PA, Mihai Ghimpu, the head of the commission on national security, defense and public order, Eugen Carpov, as well as with the MPs of the parliamentary delegation of the NATO PA and the parliamentary commission.
Rasa Jukneviciene has scheduled meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi and Defense Minister Eugen Sturza.
On the last day of the visit to Chisinau, Rasa Jukneviciene will have an exchange of views with the civil society representatives and will visit the NATO Liaison Office in Moldova.
The delegation will also include NATO PA Secretary General David Hobbs.
NATO Parliamentary Assembly is an interparliamentary organization that brings together currently parliamentarians from 29 NATO member states and 12 associated member countries. Moldova is a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly since November 1994.
