Over 140 producers participate in farming sector exhibitions in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ – Over 140 producers from several countries have presented in Chisinau municipality the most modern machines, equipment and services for agricultural business, at exhibitions Moldagrotech and Farmer. These ones are organised on 17 – 20 October at the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM), National Federation of Moldovan Farmers (FNFM) and economic agents in the sector.
The largest segment of exhibitions consists of agricultural machinery and tractors: tractors, soil cultivation machines, seed drills, fertiliser application and plant protection equipment, harvesting machines, feed preparation equipment, post-harvest processing equipment and warehousing, spare parts, livestock equipment, etc. The visitors have the opportunity to see the latest achievements of producers from Moldova, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Romania, Russia, Poland, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.
"Given the trends in the agricultural sector, Moldagrotech and Farmer exhibition is an efficient platform that offers ways to overcome the challenges facing national agriculture. We have here well – known producers in the world, many of whom are present in Chisinau for many years with good machinery, suitable and necessary offers for the agricultural branch of our country," said Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Nicolae Ciubuc, at the opening ceremony of the exhibitions.
The exhibition's agenda includes several contests, seminars, conferences and roundtables. Within them will be addressed issues related to the introduction of plant protection systems, prevention of erosion of agricultural land, climate change, protection of field crops, etc. Also, young people who study at agrarian education institutions will be reunited at an event called: Agrogeneration, where they will present their own scientific researches and papers.
In 2018, the International specialised exhibition (EIS) Moldagrotech is at its 25th issue, and Exhibition fair (ET) Farmer – at its 21st issue.
