Moldovans to be able to travel to Turkey only with identification card

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ – There have been signed five bilateral treaties with the Government today in presence of Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, the citizens of Moldova and Turkey will be able to travel from one state to another on the basis of the identity card (ID). They will be able to enter the territory of the States for the same period of residence as in the case of passports. Also, the freight carriers will be able to transit the two countries without transport authorisations, which will facilitate the transport of goods across the territory of Moldova and Turkey.
Another treaty provides for the military in both countries to be trained at the place of work, carry out work visits, participate in joint exercises and other social, cultural activities. The Youth and Sport Cooperation Agreement promotes cooperation between youth and sporting organisations throughout the implementation of various joint projects, exchange of experience within sport safety, organisation of joint sports events and promotion of women in sport.
Similarly, it was signed a Memorandum of Understanding on how to administer the Moldovan – Turkish high school S. Demirel from Congaz today. The Memorandum provides for admission terms, language for organisation of studies, financing and tax exemptions for materials delivered by the Turkish side for the technical and material endowment of the high school.
So far, there have been signed 65 bilateral agreements between Moldova and Turkey.
