Strengthening Moldovan-Turkish relations discussed in Chisinau

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/- Democratic Party leader Vlad Plahotniuc met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on an official visit to Moldova.
Plahotniuc pointed out the performance of the current government to be the only one who managed to have a very good strategic relationship with the three neighbors and partners in the Black Sea region: Romania, Ukraine and Turkey.
The talk with Erdogan focused on how the presence of Turkish investors in Moldova can be increased and boosted further cooperation between Turkey and Moldova.
Plahotniuc also noted that political, strategic, economic or regional cooperation relations between Moldova and Turkey have progressed a lot over the past three years. He reminded the very good exchange of experience between the two countries in key areas such as: construction, tourism and agriculture.
The President of Turkey is on an official visit to Moldova on 17-18 October, having scheduled meetings with officials from Chisinau and Gagauzia.
