Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets ambassadors of Visegrad Group countries accredited in Chisinau

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi today met the ambassadors of the Visegrad Group countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland), accredited in Chisinau. The officials discussed aspects of Moldova’s cooperation with this structure, as well as the latest political developments of Moldova in the bilateral, regional relations, as well as the outcomes of the ministerial meeting Eastern Partnership – European Union, held in Luxembourg, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
Minister Tudor Ulianovschi said that Moldova was interested in the deepening of the political, commercial, economic, cultural and other kinds of ties with the V4 countries, especially in projects promoted by the Visegrad Group, which regard the development of infrastructure and roads, energy sector, etc. In the context, the Moldovan diplomacy head noted that the concerned projects can be extended through establishing partnerships with Moldova and Ukraine, through the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), creating an inter-regional space of cooperation for all states involved in these projects.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on the development of cooperation relations between Moldova and the V4 Group, including through the light of implementing the provisions of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.
