The mobile mammograph is stationed in Straseni district, starting 17 October, in a few days being examined over 40 women in the district.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, in talks with medical staff, the Premier thanked for involvement and contribution to successful campaigning. "I am glad this campaign has got the outline. People are pleased – we also have people who have been saved from a health hazard," said Pavel Filip. Also, the PM said that the authorities are focused on developing a modern medical system. "The biggest issue is not the lack of money but the low ability to use money. We have succeeded in building a foundation, now lay brick, we can build an efficient healthcare system," said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Recently, the Government has focused on three major healthcare reforms: reforming the public healthcare surveillance service, reforming primary healthcare, and reforming the hospital sector. Among the new elements is the transition to the individual practice of family doctors, with the possibility to open private cabinets and to have higher incomes. "The lack of physicians in villages will be solved throughout the reform of primary care. We are waiting for the first family doctors to go to work in localities. As it stands for hospital reform – it is important for the world to understand that we do not come to shut down hospitals, but to provide quality medical services so that people will be satisfied", concluded PM.
A doctor for you campaign was launched, almost three months ago, at the initiative of PM Pavel Filip. So far, over 18,000 persons have been examined within it. The campaign was extended by purchasing three mobile machines for mammography.
