Pupils from Moldovan vocational schools, colleges can get scholarships worth 12,000 lei

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Pupils studying at vocational schools, colleges and centres of excellence from Moldova can submit their files to get a scholarship worth up to 12,000 lei. Eighty young people will be able to benefit from a scholarship within a project launched by the University Information Centre.
The scholarships will be provided for a single academic year and will cover expenses for food, accommodation and other needs of the beneficiaries. The project’s goal is to back young people from socially vulnerable categories, in order to facilitate their access to education in Moldovan vocational schools, as well as of those motivated to continue their education.
The applicants for scholarships must meet more conditions, among which: to be matriculated in the first academic year in vocational schools, colleges or centres of excellence starting from September 2018; the average mark of the admission contest should not be lower than 7.5 and they should prove participation in academic and extra-curricular activities. Young people coming from low-income families, single-parent families or families with three more children, orphan young people and those who remained without parents’ care, young persons with disabilities will be eligible for getting scholarships.
The deadline for submitting the files is 26 October 2018.
