Foreign Affairs Ministry's information on situation of group of Moldovan citizens from Albacete region of Spain

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Moldova in Spain has taken note on the subject of a group of Moldovan citizens at risk in the region Albacete and provides every needed assistance to these people, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.   

To clear up the situation, the consular agent of Moldova’s Embassy in Spain went on the spot. Also, the Embassy notified the local authorities about the concerned situation and the inquiry bodies investigate the case.   

Moldova’s Ambassador to Spain Violeta Agrici stressed that, for the moment, it was important that the concerned persons be provided with accommodation till their repatriation in Moldova. In this respect, through efforts of the diplomatic mission, this possibility was partially identified. “As for other aspects of this case, both the Spanish authorities and the Moldovan ones are in touch and undertake all measures to elucidate and positively settle the situation,” Ambassador Violeta Agrici said.
