Moldovan deputy PM meets with Special Representative of Ukraine in process of negotiations for Transnistrian settlement

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, received on Monday, 22 October, on a visit the Special Representative of Ukraine in the Transnistrian settlement talks, Victor Krijanovski, and Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, Ivan Gnatisin. The representatives of the Office for Reintegration Policy (BPR), as well as of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, attended the meeting, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
The main subject of the talks was the Transnistrian issue. The Deputy PM highlighted the major topics on the agenda of the negotiations and the approaches of Chisinau, such as: ensuring the necessary conditions for the proper functioning of the Moldovan schools teaching in Romanian in the Transnistrian region, ensuring free movement between the two banks of the Dniester river, cooperation in the field telecommunications, implementation of the mechanism for admission of vehicles from the Transnistrian region with neutral registration numbers in the international road traffic.
The Special Representative of Ukraine in the Transnistrian settlement negotiations thanked the Deputy PM for useful info and stressed that Ukraine has supported the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
