Families from Moldovan capital with three or more children at kindergarten to receive financial assistance

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - The families from Chisinau having three and more children at kindergarten will receive financial assistance worth 700 lei monthly. A decision to this effect was backed at a today’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council with the votes of 43 councilors.    

At the meeting, the deputy head of the education, youth and sport general department, Viorica Negrei, said that, 11 children coming from 37 families which might benefit from allowance, had been identified so far.

„We want to financially support the families with more children, so that parents do not leave abroad. The financial aid will be quite useful for these families,” Negrei said.  

To increase the allocation, the parents will submit an application to the kindergarten. The present decision will have retroactive effect and allowances will be calculated and provided as of 1 September 2018.   

The financial support is to be collected monthly. As much as 104,000 lei was seen from the municipal budget for the period September-December, this year.
