Moldovan MPs maintain vote for law on carabineer troops

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/- Parliament today maintained the previous vote on the draft Law on the General Inspectorate of Carabineer, which was passed to parliament for review by the president.
The draft will be submitted to President Igor Dodon.
The document sets the legal framework and the principles of activity, organization and functioning, powers of the General Inspectorate of Carabineer, financing and technical-material insurance, as well as the status of the carabineer. It is also stipulated that until 31 December 2020, the General Inspectorate of Carabineer will gradually undertake the military service, exclusively on contract.
According to the Article 93 of Constitution, the president has the right, if he has objections to a law, to send it to parliament for review within a maximum of two weeks. If the parliament maintains the previous decision, the president promulgates the law.
