Moldova, Lithuania sign cooperation agreement in employment sector

Chisinau, 08 November /MOLDPRES/ – Minister of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection, Silvia Radu, has had a meeting today with Minister of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania, Linas Kukuraitis, which is paying an official visit to Moldova. The two officials signed a Framework Agreement on cooperation and exchange of info in the field of employment and labour migration.

According to the document, the parties will exchange info on labour market trends, active labour market policies and employment services, labour migration, labour market research and forecasting and implementation of joint employment projects.

In this respect, the specialists from both ministries are to study visits, exchange experience and info, implement joint projects so that the Moldovan labour market is an attractive one, as to develop jobs and there is a better correlation between labour supply and demand.

During the visit, the Lithuanian delegation will go to the National Social Security House (CNAS), National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) and Centre for assistance and protection of victims and potential victims of human trafficking.
