Education documents from Moldova might be recognized in Italy, Belarus

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and Italy will mutually recognize the documents issued by the higher education institutions. The cabinet today approved the signing of an agreement on the recognition of the education acts, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The agreement sees the recognition and equalizing the university and master’s degrees, with the goal to enhance the exchange of specialists between the two states. Also, the signing of the document will create opportunities for citizens of both states to continue their studies at higher education institutions from Moldova and Italy.  

Also today, the cabinet of ministers approved the starting of negotiations on a Moldovan-Belarusian agreement on mutual recognition of education acts and certificates of qualification for training syllabi for adults. The launch of the process of talks was boosted also by the recent visit to Belarus by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.   

Under the document, both states will inform each other about the changes in the education systems and will exchange samples of education acts and training documents, issued by Moldova and Belarus. Also, the agreement will enhance the cooperation in the education and research sectors, as well as the exchange of good practices.    

The signing of the agreements on recognition of education acts between Moldova and Italy and Moldova and Belarus will foster not only the bilateral cooperation relations, but also the ties in the context of the states’ participation in diverse projects promoted by the European Union, Council of Europe, as well as other international and regional organizations. At the same time, the enforcement of the Agreements will improve the image of the national education system on the international stage, as well as the image of Moldova.
